Cheryl Cole has confessed to forbidding hubby Ashley Cole from taking up an offer to move to football club Real Madrid last year

The Girls Aloud star has said she wasn’t willing to jeopardise her career, for Ashley to move to Real Madrid. The offer came through just a month after they got married and was too much for them to deal with.

Cheryl explains: ‘It would have meant that I would have had to have given up my career which I wasn’t prepared to do.’

She continues: ‘Either I’d have had to move out there with him or give up my career at a time when we’d finally been accepted as a band and it was almost cool to like Girls Aloud.’
